“The middle passage begins as a kind of tectonic pressure which builds from below. Like the plates of the earth which shift, rub against each other, and accrue pressure that erupts as earthquakes, so the planes of the personality collide. The acquired sense of self, with its assembled perceptions and complexes, it’s defense of the child within, begins to grate and grind against the greater SELF which seeks its own realization”
– James Hollis
Join me for a yearlong workshop exploring the middle passage of life, a period of profound transformation. Over twelve months, we will mindfully and patiently traverse this inevitable season of our evolution, with the intention of integrating a more expansive and wiser version of ourselves.
For many, the middle passage is an epoch marked by symbolic death and rebirth. For some, it arrives with great disruption: identity collapse, physiological rebellion, relational fracture, loss of meaning, confusion, the dissolution of long-held projections, existential anxiety, grief, and uncertainty. It is a call to action from the Soul, a moment of reckoning in which we face a choice to grow or to plateau. Together, we will make the unconscious conscious, integrate the shadow, and initiate into our second adulthood by taking responsibility for every thought, word, and deed. We will co-create our reality with mystery and assign meaning to our lives rather than waiting for meaning to announce itself.
This workshop weaves together universal law, transpersonal psychology (with a special emphasis on Jungian depth work), energy medicine, and interpersonal neurobiology. The yearlong format offers a supportive container and releases the pressure to make sense of one of life's most complex and paradoxical times quickly. Join me on the journey!
